Aviation career mentoring program
A program created two years ago to help under-priviledged youth in Santa Barbara county has turned into one of the most innovative teen career programs on the central coast. The non-profit is called “A Different Point of View.” It’s an aviation-career mentoring program focused on using flight lessons as a way to introduce teens to the aviation industry.
The program partners with “Above all Aviation” in Santa Barbara. Founder Lynn Houston dreamed up the idea as a way to engage and inspire kids who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity.
