Gulvin & Chargers zero in on La Quinta

It is a great trip home for the Dos Pueblos High School girls softball team. Behind Veronica Gulvin’s two-hit complete game shutout, the Chargers won at La Quinta 6-0 in a CIF-SS Division IV softball quarterfinal game.

After driving four hours each way,the Chargers get a home game on Tuesday as they host Santa Monica in a semifinal contest.

DP backed Gulvin’s dominant pitching performance with a 12-hit attack as they scored a pair of runs in the second, third and sixth inning.

Dos Pueblos is now 24-3-1 on the season.
