Davison hands out letterman jackets to DP boys soccer team
You can bet the boys soccer team at Dos Pueblos High School is shouting “four more years” to school worker Lenita Davison. For the past four years she has spearheaded a fundraising effort to buy senior boys soccer players letterman jackets.
This year Davison handed out six more jackets at no cost to the players bringing the grand total to 35 jackets in four years. They retail at over three hundred dollars apiece.
She adopted the boys soccer team as she feels that they do not get the recognition that some of the other sports receive. Davison is quick to give credit to her co-workers and the community in helping to raise money for the jackets.
