Bishop Diego edges Templeton 5-4 in baseball

Bishop Diego scored a 5-4 victory over Templeton by cutting down a runner at the plate to end the game.

The Cardinals turned a game-ending double play on a ground out at first and after a rundown, Bishop threw home to tag out what would have been the tying run.

The Cardinals erased a 3-1 deficit by scoring three times in the second inning, highlighted by Scott Mandrell’s double to left that scored Aidan Williams. Mandrell went 3-for-3 withthree RBI’s while Williams scored three runs.

Bishop Diego is now 11-8 while Templeton suffered just their third loss on the year in 17 games.
