Man with gun robs Vons supermarket
The search is on for an armed suspect who robbed a grocery store in Goleta.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department says the man entered the Vons on the 100 block of Turnpike just after 8 o’clock on Friday night.
Officials say the robber had a gun in his waist band. He ran away with cash. No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as a heavyset male in his late twenties.
He wore a black baseball cap with a white logo, a long sleeved dress shirt with checkered print and dark pants with white shoes.
