Cal Poly wins, advances to semifinals in Big West Tournament

Senior guard Dylan Royer scored a game-high 17 points, 5-for-5 from three, as Cal Poly beat UC Davis (14-17 overall) and moved on at the Big West Tournament Thursday.

With the 64-41 win, the Mustangs (18-12 overall) move on to face the No. 2 seeded Pacific Tigers Friday at 9 p.m.

Cal Poly lead by one at the half before outscoring UC Davis 44-22 in the second half. The Mustangs extended their winning streak to six games which is the longest stretch since 2007, when Cal Poly won the Big West Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
