Two shootings in Oxnard within hours

Two Oxnard men are recovering this Tuesday morning after being wounded in two separate shootings.

The first shooting took place on the 1900 block of San Gorgonio Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. Monday. When police arrived, they found a 20-year old man suffering from three gunshot wounds. He is in serious but stable condition.

The second shooting took place at 10:30 p.m. Monday. Police say the 23-year old victim in this case drove himself to the hospital after being shot in his car. The victim told police he was shot while sitting at a stop sign at First Street and Marquita Street. He is currently in stable condition.
