Woman Featured in Tipline Investigation Arrested

We have an update to a KEY News Tipline Investigation involving a couple suspected of running a corrupt, furniture sales operation.

Early Wednesday morning, Los Angeles Police arrested a woman featured in one of our Tipline Investigations.

In the story, C.J. Ward revealed how a former Ventura County Woman and her husband, a detective, allegedly bilked dozens of local residents out of tens or possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars. All of this allegedly happened over a period of five years.

Aviva or Vee Millan now faces six felony charges of grand theft.

Millan ran a home furnishings business out of her home, but victims claim the Millan’s took their money and never delivered the furniture.

Our Tipline story led to an LAPD internal affairs investigation focusing on Detective Millan. Det. Millan did lose his job, however he has not been charged in the case.
