Hikers Rescued After Being Stranded Overnight in Guadalupe

Two hikers are safe after being stranded overnight in a remote area South of Guadalupe. The Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue Team along with Vandenberg Air Force Military Base, and the Guadalupe Fire Department assisted in the search. The female hikers from Oceano and Arroyo Grande became disoriented while trying to return from the beach back to their car. A thermal infrared imaging unit and night vision goggles were used in the search. Just before daybreak Thursday, a helicopter from the Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit found the two lost women huddled under a tree. The women were found in good condition.
