Brunch With The Cops

Today Santa Barbara’s finest stood tall and took a bow as the Santa Barbara Police Foundation saluted the rank and file who help keep the peace. The Four Seasons Biltmore hosted the third annual Brunch With The Cops. With hearty fundraising and donations the Santa Barbara Police Foundation lends a hand to cops and their families… perhaps as if Saint Jude himself answered their prayers. The tireless effort of Santa Barbara’s finest and the sources of support generated from the Santa Barbara police foundation is twofold. Money is raised to help men and women of the department who experience catastrophic injury and or death. Cops say the emotional and financial support received was like an angel sent from above. And when the state budget ends that’s when the foundation support begins. The K-9 Unit is funded through private donations through the Santa Barbara Police Foundation. And equipment for the SWAT team as well as motorcycle units have been donated. The Santa Barbara Police Department is home to some 150 officers. professionals who lay their lives on the line everyday to serve and protect.
