Turkey Box Donations

Members of Teen Voice Leadership Clubs, Ventura Youth Programs, the Police Activities League and Gold Line Towing spent weeks collecting donations for today’s big turkey box giveaway. They bought more than 115 turkeys at Vons for a discount and then purchased the rest at Food For Less.

Educators choose the families in need. Tonight those families were invited to stop by the Westpark Community Center and schools to pick up all the ingredients needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving feast. But they won’t have to bake, every box included a holiday pie.
