Six Days of Rain Over

After six days of rain, mainly mild to moderate, skies have started to clear out. Some boulders fell along San Marcos Pass but no lanes were closed. CalTrans had special equipment ready in case the hills started to slide.

A sewage spill led to an alert by waterfront officials at Leadbetter Beach when 6000 gallons of sewage came out of a manhole and into a drain to the ocean. This morning power was out in sections of the harbor and West Beach area due to a transformer issue and downed power line.

The repair work took several hours and lights went back on about 3:30 this afternoon. KEY News Senior Reporter John Palminteri assessed the situation from Highway 154 to the waterfront and has our story.
