Lompoc Spring Carnival kicks off Thursday at Ryon Park
LOMPOC, Calif. – As COVID-19 case rates continue to fall on the Central Coast, community events are making a comeback.
Setup is underway for the 2021 spring carnival in Lompoc at Ryon Park. The new carnival begins Thursday evening with a capacity of around 300 people.
COVID-19 protocols will be enforced, organizers said.
The carnival is free to attend and unlimited ride wristbands are on sale now.
“We are selling the pre-sale for $25,” said Lompoc Spring Carnival organizer Don Maurer. “That’s for an unlimited ride wristband for any one day of the carnival and it’s $35 if you don’t buy them in advance.”
Normally, the Lompoc Flower Festival happens this time of year, also at Ryon Park. But it was canceled earlier this year.
Carnival organizers planned this new event in a month and a half, and got the final approval just last week.
