Bowles named Carpinterian of the Year

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Lori Bowles has been chosen Carpinterian of the Year in the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet in the Boys and Girls Club Saturday night.

Bowles is currently a Coldwell Banker realtor in Montecito.

She has been active in civic and youth activities in Carpinteria for more than two decades, including the Carpinteria Valley Little League, Carpinteria High School and Kinderkirk.

The Junior Carpinteria of the Year award went to Emily Calkins from Cate School.

Many other community awards were handed out at the dinner attended by political and community leaders sitting with their fellow Carpinteria residents.

The event was hosted by past Carpinterian of the Year Karen Graf.
