Santa Barbara Humane hosts successful inaugural gala
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Gathering 300 compassionate community members, Santa Barbara Humane hosted its inaugural Santa Barbara Humane Gala on September 9.
Held at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, the Venetian-themed event allowed supporters to connect with others who share a passion for animal welfare while learning about the organization's ongoing initiatives.
Guests were treated to live entertainment from aerialists and danced to the beats of The Academy band. One of the evening's highlights was a moving keynote address by Santa Barbara Humane CEO Kerri Burns. She discussed Santa Barbara Humane’s veterinary, dog training, and adoption program including touching stories about animals helped by Santa Barbara Humane.
Geoff Green held an auction for a range of exclusive items and experiences, most notably the introduction of an annual pet calendar where bidders won the chance to feature their companion animal in the month of their choice.
In a press release, Santa Barbara Humane extended its heartfelt thanks to all those who attended the gala, as well as its sponsors and volunteers who contributed to the event's success.
