Where to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Santa Barbara County this week

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The COVID-19 vaccine is critical to helping end the pandemic and returning to normalcy. Health experts and doctors believe we need to vaccinate 70-90% of people in order to reach herd immunity. Once we get to herd immunity life can go back to something close to pre-pandemic conditions. However, the longer it takes to achieve herd immunity, the longer COVID-19 restrictions will continue. 

There are a lot of COVID-19 vaccine appointments available around Santa Barbara County. There are two main ways to schedule an appointment. Either visit MyTurn.ca.gov or call 2-1-1.

Here is where there are COVID-19 appointments for the week of May 3:

CARPINTERIA

Sav-On Pharmacy at 1018 Casitas Pass Road is administering vaccines. Appointments are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Albertson/Sav-On’s website.

GOLETA

Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital at 351 South Patterson Avenue. They have appointments available for their drive-thru clinics Tuesday through Saturday. The earliest appointment is 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday and on Tuesday they have extended hours to 7 p.m. available. Schedule an appointment on Cottage Health’s website.

LOMPOC

Dignity Health Urgent Care at 217 West Central Avenue has appointments Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. for the two-dose Moderna vaccine. Schedule an appointment on Dignity Health’s website.

Lompoc Valley Medical Center at 1515 East Ocean Avenue. They have appointments from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday’s clinics are using the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. While the Wednesday clinic is using the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. 

Sav-On Pharmacy at 1500 North H Street is administering vaccines. Appointments are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Albertson/Sav-On’s website.

MONTECITO 

Sav-On Pharmacy at 1046 Coast Village Road is administering vaccines. Appointments are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Albertson/Sav-On’s website.

ORCUTT

Sav-On Pharmacy at 1120 East Clark Avenue is administering vaccines. Appointments are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Albertson/Sav-On’s website.

SANTA BARBARA

Sansum Clinic at 215 Pesetas Lane has two appointment slots on Friday at 2 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

SANTA MARIA

Sav-On Pharmacy at 2320 South Broadway is administering vaccines. Appointments are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Albertson/Sav-On’s website.

Dignity Health’s Med Plus Central Coast at 2271 South Depot Street has appointments from Tuesday to Saturday as early as 9:10 a.m. and as late as 2:40 p.m. Schedule an appointment on Dignity Health’s website.

LOMPOC

Lompoc Dick Dewees Community Center at 1120 West Ocean Avenue. The clinic will be there Thursday May 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will be using the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

SANTA BARBARA

Santa Barbara Hilton at 633 East Cabrillo Boulevard. The clinic will be there Tuesday May 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will be using the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

SANTA MARIA

Allan Hancock College at 800 South College Drive. The clinic will be there Wednesday May 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will be using the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
