Beach Hazards Statement issued September 25 at 11:20AM PDT until September 30 at 4:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due to elevated
surf. Minor tidal overflows possible especially Monday and
Tuesday.

* WHERE…Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast, Santa Barbara
County Southeastern Coast and Ventura County Beaches.

* WHEN…Through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can
wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats
nearshore. Pooling of sea water is possible around high tide at
beach and harbor areas (including Santa Barbara Harbor).
Enhanced beach erosion is also possible. No significant damage
is expected.
Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or
stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
