Extreme Heat Warning issued August 27 at 7:26PM PDT until August 28 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, northerly winds 20 to 30 mph with
gusts up to 45 mph. Local gusts to 60 mph possible at high
elevations. For the Extreme Heat Warning, hot daytime conditions
with high temperatures between 100 and 110 common. Warm overnight
conditions will bring less relief than usual.

* WHERE…Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range and Santa Ynez Mountains
Western Range.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 1 AM PDT Friday. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Heat
related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat
events.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
