Santa Barbara Sheriff’s release identity of woman who died following traffic incident on Sunday

BUELLTON, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Coroner's Bureau has released the identity of a woman who died following a traffic incident on Sunday, Nov. 19 as Candace Ware, 66, of Brookings, Oregon.

Candace was driving northbound on Sunday along Highway 101 when she left the roadway while avoiding an accident in front of her 2010 Mercedes.

According to Candace's personal friend Jeff Lage, she was heading to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium as part of the final leg of her 10,000+ mile trip after surviving a lung cancer that required a transplant.

Candace was documenting her travels on her Facebook page and was a passionate member of Calvary Chapel Gold Beach.
