Man stabbed in Goleta triggers Sheriff’s investigation Wednesday morning
GOLETA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said it is currently investigating a serious assault where a man was transported with severe lacerations on Encina Road in Goleta Wednesday morning.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office reports that the 31-year-old female suspect has been safely taken into custody and will receive medical attention before being booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office, first responders arrived shortly after 7:00 a.m. to the scene of an apparent stabbing at an upstairs unit of the Encina Royale Apartments.
Arriving emergency personnel found an adult man with severe lacerations near a bus stop outside of the apartment complex and he is expected to survive detail Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.
Though it is early in the investigation, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office relay that the female perpetrator has been identified and located and that both the people involved knew each other.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office (SBSO) does not believe that woman is a threat to the community.
Nevertheless, at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, SBSO tweeted "Avoid the area- active scene: Fairview and Encina, Goleta. Serious assault investigation, suspect not yet in custody. Updates here as they become available."
Deputies with the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office authored a warrant for the woman and entered the apartment she was refusing to leave around 10:45 a.m. where she was detained without further incident.
