Former homeless woman is surprised with a car donation from Adam’s Angels

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Lindsey Harris and her daughter were elated by a donation Wednesday from the non-profit Adam's Angels when a refurbished car was presented to them.
The white 2007 Nissan Sentra was gifted to Adam's Angels recently by Jeff and Jacquline Davis. The founder of the group,  Adam McKaig knew just what to do with it.
Once it was checked out and in roadworthy condition, he got in touch with Harris who he met in the past when she was on the streets and struggling.
Harris said she lost her car about six months ago when it broke down and she couldn't afford to repair it. Since then it's been a struggle to get around.
As the newly gifted car arrived she  said "Oh my God. Are you sure?  Adam thank you so much!"
Adam's Angels routinely helps those in dire need with clothing, food, weekly necessities and sleeping bags.

Harris say this vehicle will help her get work and stability in her life again.
"I can't think of anything else that would be holding me back from that.  Transportation was a really big deal.   My health isn't the best. I didn't have many options this right here says it all," said Harris.

Inside the trunk of the car, Harris was also shown some emergency supplies as well.

Harris was also shown something unique on her key ring. It was a small metal angel.

The presentation was at Pershing Park where Harris would spend her time when she was homeless.
Also on the scene was Mary Hudson with the Arise organization that helps women who are recovering from personal challenges through a ministry-based program. Hudson gave Harris a full stay at the upcoming Ventura Arise conference in August.
Adam's Angels says this was the first car donation it has had and it is ready to take other donations, and then turn them over to someone else in need, after a full refurbishing.
