Holiday shopping at Santa Maria Town Center Mall is here

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Christmas shopping at the Santa Maria Town Center Mall is here!

"We’re excited that they’re opening the mall
back up and hoping people can come out … support the vendors and stores
here," said shopper Tracey Buentiempo.

After more than a year of closure due to the pandemic, the mall is projecting a busier crowd of shoppers this holiday season.

"People want to go and see things in person ... they’re probably tired of
shopping online ... and they want to come and get inspired," said marketing manager Yarely Corona of the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.

This year the mall is bringing back all the festivities and musical
entertainment for shoppers.

As part of the holiday season, the mall will be
offering extended hours for the next couple of months.

"The shipping could delay some of the items to be out of stock … so we
definitely encourage people to shop early in order to get those perfect
gifts," said Corona.

Another change from last year’s holiday season is the food court will be
fully open with several new cafes.

“I plan to shop for my sister, my friends and my parents,” said shopper Deanna Chapman.

"Well I have three grandkids I’m going to be
shopping for and they’re right here … we’re kind of looking around to see
what they have here and we’re excited," said Buentiempo.

All of the upcoming holiday performances will happen on the Macy's Stage
featuring local artists.

The mall is also partnering with America General Media and CASA.

CASA will be a location sponser for CASA's kids Christmas.

The mall will have bins throughout the building to drop off any unwrapped gifts for kids in the CASA program.
