New Storm Moves Through Tri-Counties

The latest Pacific storm to move through the tri-counties is bringing with it strong gusty winds and very cold temperatures.Snow has forced the CHP to shut down traffic in both directions along the Grapevine. Whenever this happens, we can expect heavy traffic including a lot of big rig trucks along Highway 101 as they try to get around the closure.Wind and frost advisories are in effect. A freeze watch is also in effect from late Friday night through Saturday morning.Temperatures will fall to between 28 and 32 degrees after midnight then drop to between 24 and 28 degrees early Saturday morning.Winds will be coming out of the northwest from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph in some areas.
