Mother’s Day flower sales helping Dream Foundation fundraise

Buy a Dream Spring Flower Box by Fabulous Florals and help keep Dream Foundation’s Flower Empower program blooming.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - For 25 years the Dream Foundation has been brightening spirits across Santa Barbara County. The foundation's Flower Empower program has been front and center, delivering flowers to community members.

This year due to COVID-19 the annual fundraising luncheon was canceled. But not all hope was lost. Flowers for the program have always been donated, but now Fabulous Florals and Florabundance in Carpinteria are helping to raise funds. Donating $50 for every flower box bought before Mother's Day.

"We're a big supporter of the Dream Foundation Flower Empower program and because they don't have their luncheon this year due to the pandemic we thought we would raise money by having people send flowers," Florabundance's Joost Bongaerts said. "Mother's Day is around the corner."

Added to the donations from Florabundance, a new online flower design contest is underway. Flower Empower Blooms: Floral Arts Showcase started April 15 and will wrap up May 13 when a winner is announced. Entries for the showcase close May 3. For more information visit dreamfoundation.org/flower.
