San Diego homicide suspect on the run, spotted near Ventura College campus
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - A suspect is on the run from police after committing a homicide in San Diego.
Forrest Robert Brantley, 38, was identified by San Diego police as the suspect in a homicide that occurred last Thursday.
Brantley is believed to have last been seen on the Ventura College campus on Tuesday, prompting a school lockdown.
On Nov. 28, the San Diego Police Department received a call about an injured man in the 3100 block of Sports Arena Boulevard at 8 a.m. that day.
Officers said when they arrived they found the man with significant trauma to his neck. He was transported to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.
Homicide investigators discovered that the victim had been in an altercation with Brantley who had used a weapon to cause traumatic injuries to the victims neck area.
Police said Brantley was last seen walking away from the scene.
Brantley is described as a 38-year-old white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
