SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - There was a warm, tasty celebration for national Cinnamon Bun day in Santa Barbara Sunday.

D'Angelo bakery offered each customer a free cinnamon bun with any purchase.

The chefs say they follow a specific recipe and use precise timing in the baking process before serving this popular item. Along with the traditional icing they have many other toppings including a bananas foster.

In the kitchen at D'Angelo prior to the special celebration chef Alex Natrielli
said "it is hard to not know someone who doesn't like  a cinnamon bun fresh so this coming Sunday we celebrate that . Everyone that  comes for us,  whatever you buy, you get one from us."

D'Angelo is located on Gutierrez street in downtown. It is locally owned and the owners have come up with creative dining outside in the Seville Square shopping plaza to set out tables and chairs for customers.

In addition to their pastries, they have a full breakfast and lunch menu.
