Santa Barbara County reports four additional deaths related to COVID-19, 103 deaths

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reports four additional deaths of residents who tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday afternoon.

This brings the total deaths in Santa Barbara County to 103 people.

The four people lived in Santa Barbara County but in different cities and areas.

One person resided in the Santa Ynez Valley in the Solvang and Buellton area.

Another lived in the communities of Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, Los Olivos and Ballard.

Both of these people were between the ages of 50 to 69 years old and both had underlying medical conditions.

Two others resided in Santa Maria, one was between the ages of 50-69 and one 70 years and older, both had underlying medical conditions. 

Public health says none of the residents reported were in congregate living facilities.  

As of Thursday, there are 8,579 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Santa Barbara County, including 103 deaths. For a complete breakdown of cases, click here.
