Wednesday morning forecast September 2nd

Near seasonal temperatures will remain through Wednesday. A warning trend will develop into Thursday with less morning clouds and fog. The heat wave expected to dominate several cities from Friday and through Labor Day. The heat will peak on Sunday with the potential for record breaking highs and elevated fire concerns.

Night to morning cloud cover will continue through Thursday morning but lessen in coverage. As the ridge of high pressure strengthens, this will cause a weaker onshore flow. Allowing for further warming into Thursday, with coastal highs rising 4 to 10 degrees. While areas across interior San Luis Obispo County, warms an additional 8 to 12 degrees.

Dangerously hot temperatures will begin on Friday and through early next week. An Excessive Heat Watch will be in effect across the interior valleys from Friday morning and until Monday evening. The coast will be included in the advisory beginning Saturday morning.
