Person seriously injured in rollover crash near Los Alamos

LOS ALAMOS, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a rollover vehicle with major injury near Los Alamos on Monday afternoon.

Santa Barbara County Fire got reports of a vehicle accident around 11:37 a.m. near the Los Alamos off-ramp on Highway 101 southbound.

County Fire responded with two engines and one battalion chief.

AMR responded along with a helicopter.

The first engine arrived to a rollover red truck.

In their investigation, the truck clipped another car and rolled over several times resulting in one person with critical injuries.

Fire officials used extrication to rescue the person. Cal Star transferred the person to the hospital.

The other vehicle had minor damage with no reported injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
