As our area is faced with ongoing changes due to a growing pandemic, we are bringing stories of people doing good in the community during a time of uncertainty.

Helping Hand and Paw
The homeless got a helping hand in Santa Barbara.
A group named Adam's Angels partnered up with Doctors without Borders and Care 4 Paws to deliver food, medical aid and supplies to the homeless in Alameda Park.
An army of volunteers served free meals to about 100 people while also handing out donated clothes.
Dogs belonging to the homeless were fed and evaluated as well.
The groups plan to make this a weekly event taking place on Thursday's from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Alameda Park.
Firehouse Coffee
Professional surfer and local resident Conner Coffin brought the stoke to Carpinteria firefighters.
Coffin dropped off a $100 gift card from Lucky Llama Coffee House to the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire District so crews can enjoy a cup of coffee while they work.
Firefighters said his generosity means a lot and they thanked him on their Instagram page.

A local artist continues to honor health care workers at her home in Santa Barbara.
Meredith Morin has created incredible chalk images on her driveway for her neighbors to look at while they pass by.
Her latest masterpiece is an image from Fisher-Price of toy dolls portrayed as health care heroes.
Morin said this one is for the kids in her neighborhood.
Viral Loud
A group of friends is creating music while socially distancing during COVID-19.
Viral Loud is the name of the group and they remade the classic hit by Cake called "The Distance," and put their own spin on the lyrics for the coronavirus.
The band members record their own parts on their devices and edit it together making it look like they are in the same room.
