Offshore wind and warmth, Friday Nov 6th forecast

Our Fall offshore winds have returned and that means gorgeous weather for the region. Look for mostly clear skies through the evening and in to early Friday. Fog chances are minimal with the dry breezy winds in play and overnight lows will be heavily dependent on our northeasterly winds. If the winds are very weak or you are in a wind protected area, it could be a bit chilly as the skies are very clear and dry. Where the winds hold all night, lows could stay a bit on the mild side with compressional warming in play. Fro Friday, expect another stellar day with highs in the 70's and even up to the mid 80's. Again, fire concerns are still with us despite the recent rains and winds could get strong enough the warrant advisories being posted as we head through the day.

Looking ahead, the Santa Anas and Santa Lucias will likely stay in play through the rest of the work week. This means our very dry and warm weather isn't expected to do much other than make us want to be outside and enjoying the sunshine. Luckily, the recent rains will help to keep wildfire risks dampened, but not completely off the table. Red Flag conditions are in effect for portions of Ventura County through at least Saturday. Our long range forecast sees warm weather holding for the early part of next week and then some changes will occur as the onshore flow returns ahead of some rain chances. Cooler temperatures will return by Veteran's Day and even a slight chance for showers in our northern areas. We will need to fin tune the forecast over the next few days, but beyond next week and closer to the following weekend, something more significant could be headed our way. We will keep a close eye on that and update you frequently.
