Final Hours Until Election Day; Full Ballot Gives Voters a Big Voice

Santa Barbara, Calif. (KEYT) - The tw- card ballot for the General Election is giving voters plenty to decide upon both in their own cities and across the country.

The Santa Barbara County Elections office has said the voters have heard their advice to get their ballots in early so they can be inspected before they are counted. All ballot envelopes must have a verified signature to be processed.

Depending on where you live, you could be voting on a mayor's race, council seats, school board members and offices higher up on the political ladder.

All California voters will vote on statewide posts including Governor and propositions.

The polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. That's when the ballot drop boxes will also be cleared out and locked.

It's unlikely that results in the tightest races will be decided immediately based on past elections with thousands of ballots left to be counted from this week that did not got through in the first batch. That should create drama in the days ahead, especially in smaller districts with tight margins.
