Halloween Forecast, Oct 30th

Threatening clouds and even a few sprinkles today as another October storm takes aim at the West Coast. Chances for showers will linger through the evening and then increase on Saturday as this tricky double barrel system looms just offshore. The two areas of low pressure will interact with each other and this is where it gets challenging to forecast. The southerly area of low pressure might actually scoot the entire rain chance a bit farther south and that means we see very little rain in our northern areas with better chance in our southern areas. We are calling for mostly scattered chances on Halloween with the best chances more toward Southern California. Keep the umbrella handy, but it looks like most of our candy frenzy will hopefully stay mostly dry.

Looking ahead, shower chances will linger in to Sunday and then we should dry conditions as we start November and warming temperatures. By mid week, our temperatures should be near normal with mostly 60's and 70's region wide. The Pacific is really getting active and that means more storms are lining up. For now we see a couple of storms getting near us, but staying mostly to our north. Slight rain chances could develop by mid week and again toward next weekend. For now we will keep things dry, but we may need to update that prognosis as we head in to next week.
