Fields of Funk to Bring Music, Community, & Halloween Fun to Elings Park
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – Santa Barbara's Halloween-themed music festival is back with another amazing lineup, all happening right here in our backyard.
Fields of Funk is annual music festival hosted at Elings Park, celebrating Halloween – Central Coast-style. Consisting of three stages, food trucks, silent disco, art installations, and food trucks, the festival brings together the local community to enjoy an evening of groovin' to both local and big musicians, surrounded by the ocean breeze!
Fields of Funk co-owner, Logan Goldberg, sat down with your News Channel to discuss this year's festivities and talk about just how far the event has come since its creation in 2020.
"My business partner and I came up with this idea, about seven years ago, and now we're in our sixth year of Fields of Funk at Elings Park and it's just really special for us to be building something," said Goldberg. "Nice and cultural in our backyard, bringing a lot of music acts to town and also being able to support local artists as well."
The festival has live performances for music lovers of all genres: rock, electronic, rap, reggae... This year's lineup includes Ozomatli, Broken Hill, Fenix Flexin of Shoreline Mafia, and headliner Blu Detiger.
"We try to do a really good job of curating - a lot of up and coming artists that are really trying to you know make it on the scene and have a big following but maybe haven't you know cracked the code."
"We really do pride ourselves in trying to bring a well rounded lineup of music to Santa Barbara."
While of course music is the main star of the festival, Goldberg reminds the public that Fields of Funk is a Halloween event! So make sure you come dress up and ready to move.
Fields of Funk will take over Elings Park on October 24th starting at 12:00pm. Tickets and all other festival information can be found at FieldsofFunk.com
