ANA WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY…

.No changes from previous statement. Moderate to locally strong
Santa Ana winds will quickly develop on Thursday, peak Thursday
afternoon through Friday afternoon, then slowly weaken through the
weekend. Meanwhile, dry air will settle over the region and dry
out any effects of the recent rains. Red Flag Warnings are in
effect for most of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties Thursday
through Saturday, and for interior Santa Barbara and San Luis
Obispo Counties for Friday.

* AFFECTED AREA…Most valleys and coasts of Los Angeles and
Ventura Counties.

* TIMING…Until 8 PM PDT Saturday.

* WINDS…Northeast to east 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 55
mph. Isolated gusts to 65 mph possible. Strongest Thursday
afternoon through Friday afternoon.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Minimums of 8 to 15 percent common.

* IMPACTS…If fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable
for extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and
property.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. Use extreme caution
with anything that can spark a wildfire. Residents near wildland
interfaces should be prepared to evacuate if a wildfire breaks
out. See readyforwildfire.org and wildfirerisk.org for
