Santa Barbara Workshop Shows Business Owners They Don’t Have to do it Alone

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) — For many small business owners, handling and making decisions is a one-man show.

A Santa Barbara workshop will look at how to move beyond that stage.

The discussion will cover how owners can build stronger systems, divide responsibilities and create a company that is less dependent on one person.

It will also address tax planning, profitability, long-term value and what owners may need to consider if they eventually decide to sell.

The panel includes Barry Fay, an exit planning advisor, Raquel Naranjo, a financial advisor, and Claudia Rucker, who works with service-based businesses on growth and leadership.

Annika Jensen, president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Santa Barbara and VantagePoint CPAs, will moderate the discussion.

The workshop runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Workzones, 351 Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara.

Tickets are $10 for current NAWBO members and $35 for non-members.
