Sheriff’s K9 teams demonstrate field work in Carpinteria

CARPINTERIA, Calif. (KEYT) - Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s K9 teams are giving the public a closer look at how deputies and their dogs work together in the field.

The dogs are trained for several types of law enforcement work including tracking detection and patrol operations.

Deputies regularly train alongside their K9 partners to prepare for situations they may face on duty.

The Carpinteria demonstration highlights how the teams work together during searches and other law enforcement operations.
