CARPINTERIA, Calif. (KEYT) - The Carpinteria Arts Center is marking 25 years in the community by putting young artists in the spotlight.

Local teens have created a new dayglow mural that will be unveiled as part of the center’s anniversary celebration.

The piece takes on a different look under black light, giving the public a colorful new installation to experience.

The project also highlights the center’s long-running focus on youth arts education and creative programs.

Over the past 25 years, the organization has helped thousands of young people take part in arts programs and community projects.

The anniversary gives the center a chance to look back at its history, while also showcasing the next generation of local artists.
