Orcutt Clean-Up and Beautification Project Now Underway

Dave Alley | KEYT

ORCUTT, Calif. (KEYT) - A project to help clean-up and beautify Orcutt is now underway in the community.

According to Santa Barbara County District Four Supervisor Bob Nelson, work began earlier this summer and is continuing this week.

Nelson said the goal of the project is to help enhance and improve the appearance of the community.

Initial work has included graffiti removal on neighborhood walls, including several around the busy intersection of Union Valley Parkway and South Bradley Road.

Nelson added funding for the project is through a federal grant from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and was obtained by the Santa Barbara County earlier this year.
