Heat Advisory issued August 18 at 7:33PM PDT until August 20 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, north winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 45 mph. For the Heat Advisory, High temperatures of 92 to 105
expected, with most areas seeing peak heat on Wednesday and
Thursday. Low temperatures are expected to range from the upper 60s
to lower 70s at lower elevations to the mid 70s to lower 80s in the
foothills and mountains.

* WHERE…Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 2 AM PDT Wednesday. For the
Heat Advisory, until 8 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…For the Wind Advisory, gusty winds will blow around
unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power
outages may result. For the Heat Advisory, hot temperatures may
cause heat illnesses. Warmer than normal low temperatures will add
to the heat discomfort.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
