Tracking the heat Thursday, cooler weekend

We start the morning with clear skies and warm temperatures. Many areas rise quickly into the 80s, 90s and triple digits. This is our last day of heat so use caution when. headed out. Many areas will only see a small cooling trend compared to Wednesday. Beach Hazard Statements are gone, so it is now safer for you to head into the waters. Some lingering rip currents and waves may be possible. Winds die down and fire weather concerns subside.

A significant cooling trend occurs Friday. Many areas drop 10 or more degrees! Onshore flow is reestablished and some marine clouds may be present to start the morning. Clear skies by lunch are projected and comfortable temperatures into the 70s, 80s and 90s are likely. Only a smattering of triple digits are expected inland. This will be a needed cooling trend for most. Enjoy a nice beach day or a picnic!

We cool further into the weekend, however it'll still feel like summer. More marine clouds will develop each morning. We heat up slightly next week and monsoonal impacts rise again. More information to come.
