Blustery beaches Thursday, tracking Santa Ana winds this weekend

Happy Thursday! It'll be a windy morning and afternoon as north to northwest winds rise above advisory levels. Most beaches will reach 20-30mph sustained and stronger gusts. Hold onto those hats! All Wind Advisories begin early Thursday morning and will last through most of Friday. Highs rise into the 70s and near average for most, but it'll be a perfect windsurfing or kite flying evening.

Blustery beaches are still in the forecast Friday, however our winds switch to an easterly component. This means minimal fog and warmer conditions. Highs rise into the upper 70s and it'll be a dry evening. Wind Advisories will be allowed to expire after dinner. Overnight lows drops into the 40s.

Peak heat arrives Saturday bringing beach weather! Head out and enjoy, we start with clear skies and will rise quickly. Maximum temperatures reach 70s and 80s. We begin a drastic cooling trend Sunday. Temperatures fall 5+ degrees in most areas as winds switch back to sea breeze. We are tracking a low pressure system to start next week, bringing in a small chance of rain. Timing and details still to come.
