Ansel Adams collection goes on display thanks to his student Larry Janss

The late famed photographer Ansel Adams was a mentor to aspiring photographer Larry Janss.

Janss took part in Adams summer workshops and became a lifelong friend.

His personal collection of Adams work went on display this month at the California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks.

The show is entitled, “In Focus: Ansel Adams Highlights from Lawrence Janss Collection.”

It’s free to public through March 24.
