Single vehicle rolls over in Nipomo causing major injuries

NIPOMO, Calif. - California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE and the Santa Maria Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash at Division Street and Hazel Lane in Nipomo.

CAL FIRE said that there were two people injured as a result of the crash.

CHP reported that their injuries were classified as major. We do not know the conditions of the patients at this time.

CAL FIRE said this was a rollover crash. The vehicle involved rolled over onto its roof.

CHP recorded on their website that the crash was called in around 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.

The southbound lanes of Division Street were reportedly blocked around 7:45 p.m. while emergency personnel responded.

Drivers should drive carefully and avoid the area of the crash if possible.

CHP said they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
