Highway 154 is under one-way traffic control due to vehicle fire

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – Highway 154 is currently under one-way traffic control after a Chevy Silverado caught fire near the intersection with Paradise Road Wednesday afternoon.

The roadway is expected to fully reopen at 6 p.m. detail Caltrans District 5.

The initial call of a fully involved pickup truck fire came in at 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday closing Highway 154 in both directions detailed Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

According to Santa Barbara County Fire, the fully involved vehicle fire was completely knocked down around 3:15 p. m.

Caltrans District 5 recommends drivers still detour to Highway 101.
