Zuffelato and Dons explode in third quarter and win at Dos Pueblos in boys hoops

Santa Barbara opened up the second half on a 17-0 run and went on to beat DP 64-50.

GOLETA, Calif. - Luke Zuffelato scored 16 of his game-high 23 points in a game-changing third quarter as Santa Barbara pulled away from Dos Pueblos and won 64-50.

The Dons are now 6-2 in the Channel League.

After leading 26-22 at the half, the Dons opened up the third quarter on a 17-0 scoring run to seize control of the game.

Zuffelato, who had just 4 points in the first half, scored on a variety of shots as the Dons raced past the Chargers and led 48-30 heading into the fourth quarter.

Carter Battle added 15 points for Santa Barbara.

Dos Pueblos slips to 2-6 in league.
