Carpinteria wins their first boys water polo CIF title in school history as they beat Burbank 12-9 in the Division 5 championship game.

IRVINE, Calif. - School history for Carpinteria High School boys water polo as they win the program's first CIF-SS championship beating Burbank 12-9 to capture the Division 5 title.

Sophomore star Asher Smith scored seven goals to lead the top-seed Warriors over #2 Burbank.

The game was tied at 6 at the half but Smith gave the Warriors some breathing room with three goals in the third period as Carp built a 10-7 lead.

The Warriors are 26-4 and CIF Champions in boys water polo for the first time ever.
