AJ Pateras will be the next Dos Pueblos High School football head coach pending school board approval

AJ Pateras is expected to be the next head football coach at Dos Pueblos High School.

GOLETA, Calif. - AJ Pateras is headed back to the high school football fields.

KEYT NewsChannel 3-12 has learned that Dos Pueblos High School will name Pateras as the Chargers new head football coach pending school board approval on June 8.

Pateras will also teach social science at DP.

From 2017-2019 Pateras was the head football coach at Cabrillo High School.

He is currently a defensive back coach at Santa Barbara City College but the Vaqueros did not play this past season due to the pandemic.

Pateras is a Ventura native.

He takes over the Dos Pueblos football program from Doug Caines who stepped down in April.
