Dons boys volleyball dominates in CIF semifinal win

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara boys volleyball's sizzling CIF run has now reached the championship match.

The Dons dominated again on Saturday, this time in a straight sets victory over Beckman the Division 2 semifinal. Santa Barbara also won in three sets in the second round and the quarterfinal, following a first round bye.

Alex Rottman and Sam Meister starred for the Dons, who never looked back after taking the first set. A 25-12 second set win set the tone for the rest of the match.

Santa Barbara is in position to win its first CIF boys volleyball title since 1992. The Dons will host Huntington Beach in the Division 2 championship match on Saturday, June 5.
