Cabrillo and Lompoc High School sports prepared to begin training on September 8

Cabrillo and Lompoc High School athletes can begin training on campus on September 8

LOMPOC, Calif. - Athletes in several sports at Cabrillo and Lompoc High Schools are close to getting back to training on campus.

The Lompoc Unified School District announced that conditioning for football, water polo, volleyball, cross-country and cheer can begin on September 8.

Both high schools are working closely with Santa Barbara County Public Health and the CIF-Southern Section to make sure all Covid-19 protocols are followed.

Students and staff will be checked daily for any symptoms of Covid-19.

Lompoc High School already had a meeting with parents and Cabrillo will also host a meeting so that athletes and families feel safe about returning to sports.
